Education is not just something that children should be guaranteed, but rather something that we practice throughout our lives, whether it is formal or informal learning. Different types of learning occur depending on the setting, but because most of it happens in our childhood, it is important that we as adults can provide the resources necessary for the effective learning that children need while their brains are still in the early stages of development.
With that said, it is important that the academia component occurs at institutions. Learning outside of home allows students to develop social skills and other concepts that will help them develop and understand their interests and in determining their career paths of interest.

Thank you for this entry. I think the first paragraph is easier to follow than the second. That is a problem, because your belief about what all children deserve form their education is in the second paragraph. I think you need to rework this statement more. I would start by flipping the paragraphs and make more of the body about helping me understand what kids need from school and less about learning that will take place outside of school. That said, as I read your statement, you seem to be stating that you believe that we learn all kinds of things about life outside of school so school is responsible for the academic part. Are you stating that schools role is limited to academic instruction? If you believe this, now make your case, if you don't believe this rewrite your belief statement too be more inclusive.
